 * What flavor of Markdown does the WordPress plugin repository use to parse Readme
   files?
 * I’m almost certain this isn’t the best place to ask this question, but I cannot
find any information anywhere. The _only_ documentation I can find at all concerning
the Readme files is, in fact, just [an example Readme](http://wordpress.org/plugins/about/readme.txt)
   file.
 * It is all pretty standard Markdown except for the section headings, which are
   more like wiki markup.
 * I would like to be able to parse these files my self, so I was just curious how
it all gets put together on the backend.
