Words not displaying

Hello,

I am trying to get some information on the comment boxes when i create a page or a post. On the bottom of the page is a drag gray screen where it allows users and guests to make comments. On the bottom of the grey box there are two white boxes to check. Unfortunately the words “Notify me of new posts via Email and Notify me of new comments via. Email can not be seen. It blends into the page and users would not know which box to check. Can this be fixed? if so then how?
