# WP 2.0.3 comment problem

 * Going against my usual restraint of waiting at least a week before I jump on 
   an upgrade, I upgraded my blog to WP 2.0.3 yesterday, and everything seemed fine
   until I went to edit a comment I had made.
 * For some reason, if I edit a comment with a contraction or a set of quotes, it
   will add a hash (\).
 * Here is an example of the initial comment:
 * > test post:
   > you’re insane. ”here we are”. Aren’t we foolish.
 * Now when I go into edit the comment by adding a line, it appears like this:
 * > test post:
   > you\’re insane. \”here we are\”. Aren\’t we foolish.
   > And now I add this line through the edit…
 * I cannot get rid of the hash marks.

   can see what is going on.
 * Any help on this will be appreciated

 * Indeed, Nuclear Moose, thanks for sharing … can anyone on the dev team speak 
   to this? Was the security flaw so bad that 2.0.3 had to be rushed out the door?
   I upgraded two 2.0.2 installs and have a dozen more to do, guess I should press
   on, rather than waiting for 2.0.2.1 … thoughts anyone?

 * 2.0.4 is on the tracks.

 * It is not only a small comment bug. They made a mistake. It happens. The dev 
   leveled the security of the admin panel (they call it “nonce”). And they forgot
   to upgrade just a few of the functions.
    2.0.3 is worth upgrading because of 
   that. But, you can wait the end of June so everything will be smoothed.

 * 2.0.4 > 2.0.2.1, what was I typing, duh.
 * Thanks for the roadmap pointer. Figured the dev team would be on this.
