# WP 3.x Specific Theme Documentation?

 * I’m trying to upgrade a 2.0 theme to work with the new features of 3.0, but I’m
   having a terrible time finding much info on it. I’ve tried searching this site,
   the codex, Google, Youtube, but I’m finding precious little.
 * Is there a source I’m missing that sheds light on templating for the new features?

 * esmi I saw that too. I guess I was looking for something more narrative than 
   a bullet point list.

 * The problem facing you is that there have been so many changes between 2.0 and
   3.0. I think it would be safe to assume that pretty much every template tag will
   have changed. What you could so is try searching the Codex for each template 
   tag or function in the theme. If the tag is now deprecated/unsupported, the old
   Codex page should include a reference to its replacement.
 * In terms of new features, you need to look at [Widgetizing_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgetizing_Themes),
   [Tag_Templates](http://codex.wordpress.org/Tag_Templates) and [Navigation_Menus](http://codex.wordpress.org/Navigation_Menus).
   Can’t recall if [custom page templates](http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates)
   or [Category_Templates](http://codex.wordpress.org/Category_Templates) were available
   in 2.0. Reviewing [Theme_Development](http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development)
   would also be useful in terms of bring you up to speed on the expanded template
   hierarchy system.
