    Hi there,

unfortunately my database has become corrupted after a cleanup. Now there’s unfortunately no way to get into its admin Dashboard due to the error message “access denied”. Tried to fix the user roles, but no way. I already set up a fresh wordpress installation now at another domain and would like to move the necessary parts like woocommerce orders, -products, -categories, -properties and wordpress pages to another domain.

Any recommendations how to do this without crashing new Installation.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

    Many thanks in advance!

    Br, Alex

    Access denied

That sounds more like a block by the hosting provider or a security plugin you are using. Are you using the latter? If so, you could deactivate it via FTP – simply rename the plugin directory under /wp-content/plugins/. If it is an issue with the hosting provider, you would need to contact their support team.

You are also welcome to show us a screenshot of the message, see: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/forum-user-guide/block-editor/#adding-screenshots

    Hi @threadi

    thanks for your quick reply!

Some data records were deleted by executing an SQL query that removed all entries containing %mailpoet%

You can find the screenshots attached.

If I open the path /wp-login and try login to Dashboard I get redirected to the home page, not to /wp-admin. In this case I am logged in and the Admin bar displays on top, but I have no access to /wp-admin

I’ve already deactivated all Plugins by rename the plugins folder.

Many thanks in advance for your efforts!

It sounds like the login was successful, but the user does not have any rights to access the backend. This in turn suggests that information is missing from the database.

The simplest solution would be to use a backup. Do you have one available? If so, import it. If you don’t have one yourself, contact your host’s support team—many offer this service.

If there is no backup, I’m not sure how to proceed given the state of your site. You could try resetting the permissions in the database, which can be done in several ways:

But even if the permissions are restored, the defect in the database could be even more serious. I would therefore strongly recommend using a backup.

    Hi @threadi

    thanks for your quick reply!

In fact there was an issue with the user permissions. I followed your links to wp cli instructions and the database entries. Accordingly I was able to fix it!

But as you told even if the permissions are restored, the defect in the database could be more serious. Subsequently I will move all necessary files to a fresh wp installation.

Thank u so much! I really appreciate your efforts and help!
