WP admin blank

Not too sure what version I am using.. My hosting people use offer fantastico but for some reason bombed out with automatic updates after wp 1.7 and I recently realized that all my space had been used by a hacker who had exploited my old version.

Once I saw that I had been hacked, I finally convinced the host people update my WP to the most recent version.

When I went to my admin page, it asked me to update the database, so I did. Now I log in and it’s blank. My host people said the upgrade didn’t update the database. So they sent it to a senior tech.. it’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything.

Anyone have any ideas as to what to do? I’m not against moving to a new host because I’m not happy about being ignored for a week.
