 * My hosting provider moved me to another server and my wordpress admin back-end
   is not available anymore. All my blog posts ([http://blog.xvzx.net](http://blog.xvzx.net))
   are accessible but every time I log in, I get a 404 error for my wp-admin page.
   As a result I am not able to post anything or make changes to the site. Can anyone
   help? my hosting provider can provide all raw logs for the domain.
 * I have another wordpress blog ([http://dfusionband.com](http://dfusionband.com))
   installed on the same server (with Fantasio – cPanel) and the migration did not
   affect it at all.

 * look and see when you try to log in what the url is. Changing DB and or Just
   upgraded, copying , or moving can cause your old DB not to match your new one.
   Make sure your wp-config.php is config and right with the new sever set up.

 * Thanks for the heads up. I just checked my broken blog’s wp-config.php and it
   only has
 * define(‘SECRET_KEY’, ‘something here’);
 * as compared to my working blog’s:
 * define(‘AUTH_KEY’, ‘random 1);
    define(‘SECURE_AUTH_KEY’, ‘random 2’); define(‘
   LOGGED_IN_KEY’, ‘random 3’);
 * Could this be an issue?
 * I’m curious though that the blog worked fine previously even when the wp-config.
   php contained only that single line.
 * One more thing that I found out is that I cannot change my existing theme. Even
   when I delete the active theme folder (using FTP), WP does not revert back to
   the default theme.
 * Is there anyway I can change the active theme from phpmyadmin?

 * an update:
 * changing the wp-config.php file did not help…
 * All I can think of now is that the theme might be messing around with the backend.
   Is there anyway i can revert back to the default theme using phpmyadmin?

 * Changing the theme did not help. Does anyone have any clue on what might be wrong?

 * Umm Did you have any Admin plugins installed before the Move?
 * If you did maybe that is what is messing with the admin. I know sometimes when
   moves are done they tell you to disable any plugin because if a plugin is activated
   through WP then when it is moved something happens. I can’t remember details
   just maybe something you should look into.

 * I tried disabling all plugins by deleting the files/folders… didn’t help at all..
 * Anyone has any other suggestions?

 * Just a side note – all my plugins seem to be working fine. I get databse backups
   in email, get spam karma reports, new comment notification, etc.. its just that
   I cannot access any admin pages.
 * One more observation that I found was that the “subscribe to comments” plugin
   admin page works (without any type of formatting – i.e. only text based interface)

 * Turns out it was a permissions issue. My wp-admin folder was set to 777 and I
   changed it back to 755. Everything works fine now.
