# wp-admin CONSTANT?

 * why are /wp-admin references hardcoded everywhere in the core instead of using
   a CONSTANT (similar to WP_SITEURL, ABSPATH…)? is this planned in a roadmap for
   a future release?

 * WordPress was developed with the help of thousands of volunteer programmers, 
   over years of minor contributions. Likely the absolute reference seemed like 
   common sense at the beginning and nobody has taken the initiate to replace it
   yet.
