 * I took over maintenance of an almost finished WordPress web site (the previous
   author is not available anymore). So I need to figure how the site has been setup.
   So far, I am making good progress, but there is one annoying issue I cannot get
   a handle of:
 * When invoking [https://sport-1a.de/wp-admin](https://sport-1a.de/wp-admin) while
   being logged out, it gets redirected to [https://sport-1a.de/login/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fsport-1a.de%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1](https://sport-1a.de/login/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fsport-1a.de%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1).
 * I have turned off the redirection plugin in my site (the only plugin I am aware
   of doing redirections) and I have checked my theme’s functions.php, but I cannot
   find or get rid of this redirection.
 * What other possibilities are there where this might be coming from, or what do
   I need to do to get rid of this redirection?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fwp-admin-gets-redirected%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * The solutions proposed there have nothing to do with my question. I have no login
   problems, WSODs or login redirection loops.
 * I simply want to know where that redirection originates from.
 * That redirection is not necessarily a bug or fault in my website. It is just
   something I don’t want to have, or want to know how to handle or modify. Ideally,
   I would want to redirect calls of [https://mydomain/wp-admin](https://mydomain/wp-admin)
   to a custom login page I have created in case the user isn’t logged in.
