# /wp-admin not loading – getting 404 error

 * Hi,
 * I’m trying to login to my wordpress at [http://blog.publicdisplaysofaffection.ca/wp-admin/](http://blog.publicdisplaysofaffection.ca/wp-admin/)
   and I’m getting a 404 error message! What is going on! I haven’t done anything!
 * I’m also not very code saavy. I can navigate and cut and paste but usually don’t
   generate it.
 * Can anyone help?

 * Hence, it must be an issue with the subdomain setup. You need to contact your
   hosting service provider to resolve it.

 * At what point do you get the 404? I can reach the url above although I noticed
   that it’s unstyled – which in turn suggests that path or urls have been changed
   in the database since the installation.

 * hello again,
 * for some reason the ‘wp-admin’ folder had been deleted from the server. I downloaded
   WordPress again and uploaded the folder to the server and all seems to be working
   fine again.
    😀
