 * Hello,
    I have been experiencing extremely poor performance when trying to administer
   my site. At first, many functions were timing out and I would have to retry 3-
   4 times to get the plug-in page (for example). I upgraded to WP 3.5.2 thinking
   it would help but, now I can only get to the admin dashboard – no further. Every
   action I try to take returns a blank page. No error, nothing. The site is still
   available and performing fine. I have been trying to resolve this for months.
   I’ve tried working with Godaddy and my local service provider but, I think I
   have narrowed it to a WP Admin issue. I do not have much experience with PHP
   or WordPress so any help is much appreciated. The site is: tylerslight.com
 * Thanks,
    Tom

 * You need to do the normal debug. Use ftp or the file manager in your hosted account
   to rename the plugins folder plugins-old.
 * Revert to the default theme by renaming your theme tylerslight-old.

 * [@kmessinger](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kmessinger/) – thanks for your
   reply. Just a couple of questions; like I said, I’m a beginner with WP so not
   really sure what the “normal debug” consist of… If I rename the plugins like
   you suggest do they simply not load? Assuming so, then I could go back into the
   admin console and add them back one at a time – right? If I rename the theme
   what should I expect? Will the site still load with some default theme.
    I’m
   trying to take care so as to not affect the site itself because it is still functioning
   fine. I paid someone to set this up for me and I administer it. It was working
   fine until about 2 months ago… The person I paid to set it up (obviously) is
   not responsive to my requests for assistance. Thanks

 * What we are doing is just a process of elimination. Renaming the plugin folder
   will not allow them to load. If the site works ok in the default theme you can
   correct the name of the plugin folder because then we will know it is the theme.
   Other wise you will add a new plugins folder and add them one at a time until
   you figure out which plugin is the problem.
 * Renaming the theme should cause wp to open with the default theme. Your original
   theme will still be there.

 * Thanks! I renamed the plugins and was able to perform admin tasks again. Now
   I am adding them back one at a time to see which is the offending plugin. Thanks
   for your help!
