# wp-admin/admin-ajax.php ?????

 * I have just finished a site in wordpress and it’s actually built on 2.6.3. Anyway,
   without even launching – I spotted in the stats that the site had massive amount
   of hits. I just checked the stats in detail and the number one hits was for:
   
   _wp-admin/admin-ajax.php _
 * What is this and should I be worried???

 * admin-ajax is the handler for all the real-time requests that the site makes 
   when you’re in the dashboard. The front dashboard page, many of the settings 
   pages, the posts page, these all cause hits to it. Don’t worry about it, it’s
   supposed to work like that.
