 * Hi guys,
 * I recently installed User Role Editor to allow a user to edit only drafts/pending
   posts. It worked fine. We then changed hosts and it appears they used an older
   backup.
 * I had AAM installed again and User Role Editor was gone. Installed the latter,
   removed the former, created account with the exact same permissions but the /
   wp-admin/edit.php will not load for anyone now except for Admin role?
 * Any idea what’s causing the problem? It’s just a blank white page.

 * We’ve got a bunch of ready to publish articles and unfinished content with eager
   editors wanting access. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😀

 * This is actually happening without the plugin installed now as well.

 * Hi,
    URE makes permanent changes to the roles at the WP database. These changes
   stay in action even after you delete URE plugin.
 * Does standard roles, e.g. ‘Editor’, ‘Author’ work?
 * For you purpose you may use standard Contributor role with little addition
    [http://shinephp.com/change-published-to-pending/](http://shinephp.com/change-published-to-pending/)
   and do not need to change roles with URE.

 * Hey Vlad,
 * Thanks for taking the time to respond. Can you tell me what we need to remove
   in order to return the permissions to the default settings so we can start from
   scratch?
 * Cheers.

 * 1st way – take a look to the role at fresh WP setup and set the same capabilities
   for it at your site.
    2nd with more risks to crash some other plugin or theme
   if it added its own roles or capabilities – Reset button and URE plugin. It setup
   standard roles from scratch, as WP does during 1st installation.
