# /wp-admin/index.php hangs

 * Hello, —
 * I have a rather peculiar problem. Firstly, I can’t retrieve the dashboard-page;
   the browser simply hangs. It is possible for me to login, but the redirect just
   stalls.
 * I can, however, retrieve all the other pages, and change options. I can also,
   usually, create small posts, but not more than a couple of lines. If I enter 
   more than say 10 lines of text (no links, just text), it stalls (without updating/
   creating the post).
 * My ISP has moved the site to another server, which must have caused this behavior.
   I have upgraded to 2.0.1 without improvement.
 * No sites are called for updates, when I post; I have disabled these features,
   but without result.
 * Any clues are highly appreciated.

 * This has happened to me, but it seems to be cause when the administrator index
   page calls in the incoming links. I got rid of them and it solved that problem.

 * I am not sure I quite understand, especially as I cannot bring up the admin-indexpage
   and check. Perhaps this might be a clue, but it doesn’t explain the other problems.

 * I had this exact problem today, and fixed it by replacing wp-admin/index.php 
   with the streamlined version here:

 * This streamlined version omits the feeds, which evidently was the problem for
   me.
