# WP Basic Issue

 * Hello,
 * I’ve been away from WP for a while. I have a theme and it’s activated, how to
   I pull it in to an editor say Gutenberg. Gutenberg only has a demo. Can I get
   a theme into it?

 * Gutenberg was built into WordPress 5.0 as the Block Editor, that was a few years
   ago: [https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/wordpress-block-editor/](https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/wordpress-block-editor/)
 * So, to get the Block Editor for use on posts/pages, just update to the latest
   version of WordPress.
 * If you’re referring to the Site Editor, which lets you customize the whole site,
   that was a bit more recent: [https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/site-editor/](https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/site-editor/)
 * To _have_ the Site Editor, update to the latest version of WordPress, _but_ you
   will need a Block Theme to make use of it: [https://wordpress.org/themes/tags/full-site-editing/](https://wordpress.org/themes/tags/full-site-editing/)
