 * Hello,
 * Our website has forwarded to the purchased domain.
   Based on past experience,
   we only need to install plug-in “Really Simple SSL” and press the “Activate”
   button to successfully protect the domain. But starting in 2023, when we press
   the “activate” button , the system did not successfully secure the domain. Instead,
   the following warning message appears: wp-config.php is not writeable. We don’t
   know how to enter “wp-config.php” to change to a state that can be written. Could
   you please tell us how to successfully enable the SSL function?
 * 2nd question: What causes such a problem? And How to avoid encountering this
   problem?
   Our pre-work, including setting up the host, making website content,
   pointing the ip to the paid domain, etc., are all fixed steps, but starting from
   2023, making websites all encounter this same problem.
 * Thanks

 * Hi [@square77](https://wordpress.org/support/users/square77/),
 * I see that the website listed in your profile does have a valid SSL certificate
   installed at the moment [(please find the SSL test report here)](https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=decorous%2dgirl%2dstudio.com.tw&s=104.21.8.225&latest).
   Are you still experiencing any issues with SSL on this website?
 * The attached screenshot in your post is very small and not readable because of
   this, but it looks like the plugin tried inserting rules in your **wp-config.
   php **file; but was unable to do so. This may occur when the **wp-config.php **
   file does not have **644 **permissions.
 * You could therefore insert the rules as listed in the Dashboard manually in the
   wp-config.php file, or follow these instructions to modify the permissions of
   the wp-config.php file, so that the plugin can make the recommended changes: (
   [https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/changing-file-permissions/#using-an-ftp-client](https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/changing-file-permissions/#using-an-ftp-client)).
 * Kind regards, Jarno
