 * I woke up to a 500 error on my WordPress blog. A little digging brought me to
   opening the wp-config.php file, where the only code is now 162 lines of “// Added
   by WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache”. The plugin has gone full Jack Torrance for
   some reason.
   Now, I have backups but it’s still annoying and would love to not
   see this happen again.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fwp-config-php-wiped%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * I’ve experienced the same thing yesterday, after updating some plugins. Switching
   from Memcached to Redis solved the problem for now. The server is Litespeed.

 * Good point [@hugodebe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hugodebe/): I’m on
   Litespeed too.
   I deactivated the plugin for now, let’s hope a fix won’t take
   too long.

 * I’d say the lack of replies for such a critical issue that wipes your WordPress
   config file is not exactly reassuring… At least acknowledge the problem.

 * Hi [@koandj](https://wordpress.org/support/users/koandj/),
 * We haven’t received similar reports from other users regarding this issue. To
   help us investigate further, could you please provide the following details:
 * • The version of the plugin you’re currently using
 * • Any relevant error logs from your site (you can share them via Pastebin or
   a similar tool)
 * Once we have this information, we’ll look into it on our end.
 * Best regards,

 * Hi [@kushnamdev](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kushnamdev/)
   There is one
   other person who replied right after I first posted. It’s happened at the same
   time to both of us, so something must have happened. The version is 5.0.9Where
   should I be looking for the error log you need? Obviously, I cannot screenshot
   wp-config.php now because I restored a functioning backup. And your plugin is
   deactivated so if there was a log there, I can’t access it because reactivating
   may cause the issue again. Where should I be looking?

 * You can download the logs from here – [https://vertis.d.pr/i/9alToe](https://vertis.d.pr/i/9alToe)
   or you can share a PHP log from your hosting provider. If you are not sure how
   to obtain it, you can ask your hosting provider as well.

 * I couldn’t risk blowing up the site again during this period so I only re-enabled
   your plugin now. I’ll monitor the situation and let you know

 * Being monitoring for the past 4 days and it has not happened again to the same
   extent, there are only 2 lines of “// Added by WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache”
   but it has not wiped wp_config.php so far as it did when I opened the ticket
