 * I found this in the sample config yet no description in the guide.
 * What is this for and is it critical?
 * if ( !defined(‘ABSPATH’) )
    define(‘ABSPATH’, dirname(__FILE__) . ‘/’);</p>

 * very critical
    it’s WordPress’ absolute path to the WordPress directory and is
   used to include files among other things

 * it is in the wordpress root – whatever folder you installed to
    just download
   it – open and edit with notepad – save – upload

 * Hi Samboll,
    I upgraded to the new theme thesis 1.5.1.
 * I ask because my site [http://www.thehousedog.com](http://www.thehousedog.com)
   is not showing up after i did the wordpress upgrade to 2.8.1 and the thesis upgrade
   to 1.5.1.
 * I keep getting this error:
 * _Safari can’t open the page “http://thehousedog.com/” because the server unexpectedly
   dropped the connection, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might
   be able to open the page later._
 * I uninstalled the theme and it was still doing it. I them downgraded back to
   wordpress 2.8 and it’s still doing it.
 * Any suggestions?

 * Also…when I go to [http://www.thehousedog.com/index.html](http://www.thehousedog.com/index.html)
   I get an error on my site that says the page cannot be found.
 * I’m guessing this is the reason why I can’t access my site. I checked the index.
   html file in my file manager on go daddy and it’s blank. Should it be?
 * I’m not familiar with code and use wordpress because it makes it easier, so any
   simple explanation as to what I need to do would be GREATLY appreciated.
 * At this point I’m afraid to do an uninstall and install and lose all my data.

 * Hello, I am trying to Install Google XML sitemap plugin. It tells me to install
   the directory in the same directory where by wp-config.php.
 * I went through all my directories. I cannot find wp-config.php file. In which
   directory does this file reside? My wordpress blog is hosted at Bluehost. If
   my blog is remotely hosted, does that mean that I don’t have a wp-config.php
   file?
 * I am a novice at all of this. Please dont mind if my question is too rudimentary.

 * wp-config.php will be in the directory into which you made your initial install.
   If you installed WordPress in public_html, then wp-config.php will be in public_html.
   If you installed it in another directory, eg. public_html/somedirectory, then
   it will be in that directory beneath public_html.
