 * This morning when I went to post in my blog I got an error message when trying
   to connect to my dashboard, when I attempted to go directly to the site the error
   message I got read
 * To allow use of this page to automatically repair database problems, please add
   the following line to your wp-config.php file. Once this line is added to your
   config, reload this page.
    define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);
 * My question is, how do I access the config.php file?
 * Thanks for the help.

 * You will need to use FTP (or the file manager that your Web host provides) to
   navigate to your WordPress directory on your Web server. wp-config.php will be
   in the root of your WordPress installation.

 * I have the same problem. I copy, paste, and save. then reload the page.
    fine
   it asks me if i want to repair, but it loops. continually between the two pages.
   Thanks for any ideas.

 * Have you tried:
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in
   wp-content/themes using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever
   file management application your host provides. You may need to access /wp-login.
   php to get this to kick in fully.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

 * I have tried inserting the code given for repair and it is not working, the tech
   at my hosting site said it’s corrupt and he could not repair it. Any suggestions
   as to what to try next.

 * If your database is corrupt to the point that it cannot be repaired, ask for
   a restore from backup. That’s pretty much it :/
 * Corruption happens. Make good backups!
