When I go to ‘Create a File’ I get this notice, “The file ‘wp-config.php’ already exists. If you need to reset any of the configuration items in this file, please delete it first. You may try installing now.” When I click on ‘installing now’ I get my header and the file name “This is somewhat embarrasing, isn’t it?” * When I go to the codex file on this, it starts off with “WARNING, before editing this page” This sets off all kinds of bells and whistles in my head and I don’t dare try anything. Honestly, I really don’t understand the rest of that page. * Can somebody help me here with simple 1-2-3 directions on doing this? I’m working with the “2011” theme. Do I re- download the whole program or just that file? I could figure out how to download the WordPress program but is that safe for the website I have set up? Or would it just overwrite what I have already. But I had first made a file on my c-drive. The problem is, I don’t remember how I got it there. Consequently, I don’t know how to download a new version, where to get it, or what to do with it once I find it. What FTP is, is about all I DO know about this situation. 😉 So – can I do it in FileZilla? In FileZilla, it’s exactly this directory you’ll use to overwrite the one on your hosting server.
