# wp-config.php NOT FOUND!

 * But it’s there! I’ve uploaded it! And Ive edited it with the right MySQLdb info.

   I’ve moved stuff there now. AND WP-CONFIG IS THERE TOO. Ahh, sigh. 🙁

 * Is the file named wp-config.php? Is it the proper format, in terms of case? For
   example, if you made it Wp-config.php and you are on a *nix server, the case-
   sensitivity rules apply. “Wp-config.php” and “wp-config.php” are, in fact, different
   files.
    Did you edit and save, then rename the wp-config-sample.php file? If 
   you edited that file, but left it as “wp-config-sample.php” the install will 
   not work. Did you rename using underscores instead of a dash? Just trying to 
   come up will all possible situations that I’ve seen. HTH.

 * ^Thanks for the help but I’ve tried all those things.
    I think it’s something
   to do with the directories I’ve uploaded them to. Is every single WordPress file
   meant to go into the wp-admin file?

 * No.
    When you unzip the download, there is a folder called ‘wordpress’ Open that,
   and upload everything, as it is and missing nothing out, to the directory on 
   your server where you want the blog to live.

 * Nat,
    We all make mistakes. I made plenty when I first started using WP a loooooooooooooong
   time ago. Come to think of it, I still screw lots of things up, but, it’s also
   meant that I’ve had an equal number of opportunities to learn something as well.
