# WP Engine Cron

 * Hello, it appears that MailPoet doesn’t work with system cron tasks on WP Engine.
   In brief WP Engine can’t set custom cron URLs such as: [http://example.com/wp-cron.php?123456789&action=wysija_cron&process=all](http://example.com/wp-cron.php?123456789&action=wysija_cron&process=all)
 * They only allow the default cron URL: [http://example.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron&#8230](http://example.com/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron&#8230);
 * This means that newsletters are not sent automatically.
 * I can use a third-party cron service but I would have thought your plugin should
   work on WP Engine without the need for third-party involvement
 * Any pointers would be really appreciated.

 * On that case, just disable MailPoet’s Cron URL (rely on your visitors instead).
   This should work.

 * Hello,
 * No that doesn’t solve the issue as relying on users to trigger the cron is not
   acceptable.
 * The problem with relying on users to trigger cron is that some sites I manage
   have limited traffic but large mailing lists. Site content is updated on a regular
   basis and newsletters should be sent immediately. If the site isn’t visited for
   several hours then no newsletters are sent.
 * Please fix as currently your plugin doesn’t work on WP Engine.
