# WP-Footnote Error

 * I’m using the current version 1.4.
 * I have placed the (( )) double parentheses around what I want to footnote with
   a space before and all I get is an error message after I preview it:
 * _Fatal error: Call to undefined function swas\_convert\_num() in_
 * Was wondering if anyone has had an issues like this? Maybe it a configuration
   issue?
 * Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much.

 * did you upload BOTH php files?
 * that function is defined inside num2char.php which is included in the zip.
 * per the instructions inside the readme.txt:
 * == Installation ==
 * 1. Upload the `footnotes` folder and **all** it’s contents to the `/wp-content/
   plugins/` directory
    2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
   3. You’re good to go!

 * if thats the way you have it and its still not working, and it were me.. I would
   just remove this line from the actual plugin file
 * `if ($current_settings['list_style_type'] != 'decimal') {require_once('num2char.
   php');}`
 * and put the 2 the functions inside that other file into the plugin file.

   know I’m following you correctly:

 * while I’m not getting an error, I cannot get Footnotes to work with WP 2.2. I’m
   guessing it’s not compatible, which sucks because this seems like a cool plugin.
