theme looked ok in firefox and IE 11

following error – “Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong
with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems,
please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection
   to WordPress.org “
 * The site looks fine (minus thumbnails) in firefox

 * That means that openssl on the server is out of date. You’ll need to ask the
server admin to upgrade it to openssl 1.0.2e. (I *think* the 1.0.1 branch will
work too, but 1.0.2e is the latest release.)

 * Hi,
 * I have put in the request to my server admin to upgrade the openssl version.
This is a bit of red tape so it may take a while. I was wondering if you had
any other suggestions in the mean time.
 * I have been troubleshooting the issue in the following way.
 * 1. When installed on my company intranet server the site workes fine in firefox
but shows the above errors in ie 11.2. When I installed the theme on my personal
external server the site looks fine in firefox and IE 11 even when Im looking
at it on my company VPN.
3.Im able to install other themes on the internal company
server and they look fine both on and of the VPN in both firefox and IE11
 * 4. I have determined the problem has something to do with the true mag theme
+ my company internal server + Internet explorer combination.
 * 5. im also getting this error on the general settings page
 * Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.
org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please
try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to
WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in wp-admin/includes/
   translation-install.php on line 59
 * Why would it still work in FF and not ie?
 * Thanks again.

 * Well, almost all of the time that issue is outdated openssl, but if it actually
works in another browser, and over VPN, I’m not so sure now, very strange.
 * Here’s a bunch of things to try:
 * Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme
to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
 * If those make no difference, please make sure that your browser is up to date
   by visiting [http://whatbrowser.org/](http://whatbrowser.org/)
 * If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
 * If it is, please do these two things:
 * 1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
 * 2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
 * Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version
of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
