 * I used the rename wp-login.php and then removed the wp-login.php and yet I’m 
   still getting login attempts??
    I’ve also put a redirect to /wp-login.php to 
   the home page.
 * I also have a .htaccess in the /wp-admin so use [http://www.site.com/wp-admin](http://www.site.com/wp-admin)
   doesn’t redirect to the login page.
 * Maybe I’m naive but how can someone/thing attempt to login without a wp-login.
   php
    Is it possible to have guessed my obscure rename?

 * I saw someone else with the same problem.
    Back door is to use wp-register.php
   I redirected it, and will hope for the best
