# WP Mail Cannot Authenticate

 * So a few weeks ago, our WP Mail SMTP client told us that our account couldn’t
   be authenticated. I’ve tried updating the plugins, re logging in, updating php,
   nothing seems to work. Has anyone had similar issues?

 * Thanks for reaching out!
 * According to your error log, most probably your server’s Firewall or ModSecurity
   rules are blocking your SMTP connection requests.
 * Could you please get in touch with your hosting support with the full error log
   and they should be able to assist you accordingly.
