# WP Menu problem

 * Hi, are there settings for the WP menu? When i choose a menu item first the item
   selection appears on right side of the menu. When i select a sub item here. The
   menu as a whole moves out of sight so i constantly have to move down to get back
   to the selected item and its submenu. Very annoying. Is there a solution?

 * This happens because of how WordPress handles sub-menus. In the Dashboard → Appearance
   → Menus, sub-items push the list down, so things keep moving out of sight — and
   on the front-end, some themes do the same with dropdowns. The simplest fixes 
   are: collapse unused menu items in the dashboard, or use Appearance → Customize
   → Menus instead (much smoother), and if it’s on the live site, adjust your theme’s
   menu settings or use a plugin like Max Mega Menu to control how submenus open.

 * In addition to the above tip, I would like to add the following: I think you 
   are describing the management of a classic menu. When using a modern block theme,
   menu management is completely different. There, you edit the menu in the graphical
   interface of your website, where you can immediately see what it looks like. 
   This would be an alternative, but it requires you to change your theme.
