# WP plugin updates failed

 * Hello,
 * I tried to update my WP site for several plugins. However, I receive the following
   message:
 * Download failed. Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?).
 * I don’t think this problem is plugin specific, because this message pops up randomly
   across different plugins and at different times when I make updates via my main
   site and to its sub-directory.
 * Thank you

 * I have the same problem, regardless of plugin update.
    Any update?

 * Hi,
 * After I contacted my hosting company, I found out that this was a server problem.
   I suggest that you contact your hosting provider.
 * After I received the error messages, I waited a couple of hours after my first
   attempt and updated the plugins again and they updated!

 * I did contact them…they didn’t seem to understand.
    What is it that they need
   to be aware of? Is it a permission thing? thanks
