I see many tables on my WordPress blog that are huge and seem to belong to WordPress Popular Posts, such as

    hngmbc_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    qbqdul_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    nblifm_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    ipnhvb_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    kdnotk_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    zpdsin_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    aoopwi_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    ncejdp_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    taibgv_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    khygst_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    uzmtex_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb
    vkzfac_wp_popularpostssummary 75.1 mb

Can I delete all others apart from wp_popularpostssummary? Also, why do these tables of the same size exist?

Thank you so much for your support.

    Hi @geeteshbajaj,

The plugin only creates two database tables when activated for the first time: wp_popularpostsdata and wp_popularpostssummary (assuming your prefix is wp_). No idea where the other tables came from.

    Thank you so much, @hcabrera

I deleted the extra tables and everything still works. I am guessing some backup plugin must be creating these extra tables as backups.

    Have a safe day.
