[WP Popular Posts plugin] Views not correct

I just installed the WP Popular Posts plugin and the views are not reflective of the views showing on my articles. For example an article with over 2,500 views shows only 16 on the plugin display. It seems to be counting from when I installed the plugin (today) rather than taking the views from my database. Anyone know how to fix this? The comments count seems to be okay. Thanks!
