# wp staging issue

 * Good morning,
 * After updating Elementor Builder, I encountered a critical error on my WordPress
   site. I disabled all extensions but the problem persists. In addition I can no
   longer install new extensions because WordPress apparently no longer has access
   to the extension directories. There is also the WP Staging plugin which no longer
   works correctly and I can no longer even access my backups.
 * Here are the error details in the error log:
 * [**Warning**: require_once(/homepages/36/d934651530/htdocs/clickandbuilds/LusoPicTours102162/

 * Hello Agate,
 * please rename or delete the folder .**/staging-lusopict/wp-content/plugins/header-
   footer-elementor/** to disable this plugin by using FTP or a file manager installed
   on your production site.
 * Then the staging site should be back.
 * Please let me know if this solves the problem.
 * Please also note, this is a problem created by elementor and not by WP Staging:-)
 * Optionally you can create a new staging site. Download the backup files from
   the folder .**/staging-lusopict/wp-content/uploads/wp-staging/backups** and then
   upload the backup file to the new staging site and restore it.
   But the first
   solution should work, too.All the best and good luck.René

 * Is there no way to recover via a backup link what was done to transfer it to
   a new staging site ?
 * I don’t have access to ftp files…

 * [@agated](https://wordpress.org/support/users/agated/) You can install any File
   Manager plugin on the live site, then you should be able to access the backups
   of the staging site via the same path mentioned above.
