wp stopped working

    I installed wp into a <wp> directory on my SimplyOasis.com site and even though I edited the options to load it at the root address SimplyOasis.com it simply won’t. Ive got it temporarily redirecting through my cpanel but I should wish I could figure out how to get wp to point there all by itself. Suggestions?

    I was told the only way to get it to load at root was to install it at root but really I wonder if this is true?

    I installed wp into the root on my StayAtHomeWitch.com site and it was working just fine but then yesterday all of a sudden Im getting a blank page. What do I need to save in order to NOT lose my post/comments so that I can just reinstall? I can login to the admin but I noticed the themes & plugins arent showing up and I havent tried posting anything.

    check that you did these things:

    copied .htaccess and index.php from the wordpress direct to your root folder.

    edit index.php to point to the the new location of the wp-blog-header?
