# WP Subscribe Something went wrong error

 * I seem to be having an issue, I have added the API and the list ID for Mailchimp.
   When I enter the info and press the sign up button, I get this error”Something
   went wrong.” How can I fix this issue? Help is always appreciated.

 * Hello,
 * It is possible that you are not including name field, only email and you have
   name field required in MailChimp settings.
 * If so, you need to either enable name field in widget settings or make name field
   optional in MailChimp dashboard ( go to “Lists”, select your list, go to Settings-
   > List fields and *|MERGE|* tags, and make sure only email field is required
