 * logged on to my site today, the WPTouch Pro plugin needed to be updated, so I
   updated it.
    The site ‘crashed’ kind of. The typical ‘site is down for maintenance’
   message displayed, but for about 20 minutes. And then nothing would load. for
   about 10 minutes. Then the site came back, I logged in again and this massage
   was at the top “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please
   attempt the update again now.” Also, the WPTouch Pro settings is gone from the
   admin panel. So I went to re-upload the plugin and get this message “Unpacking
   the package…
 * Installing the plugin…
 * Destination folder already exists. /home/content/91/8496991/html/knoxandcook/
   wp-content/plugins/wptouch-pro/
 * Plugin install failed.”
 * So, my solution is to go clear out the plugin via FTP and reinstall in wordpress,
   however I was wondering if there was a file I could copy and replace after this
   that would have all of my settings go back to what they were before I tried the
   update?

 * The settings should be in the db so if you delete the plugin and then re-install
   via FTP the info should all be there.

 * If you have any doubts, you could contact the folks at Brave New Code. They’ve
   put a lot of effort in the plugin – [http://www.bravenewcode.com/support/](http://www.bravenewcode.com/support/)

 * Christine is correct— WPtouch Pro customers should access paid support at [http://www.bravenewcode.com/support/](http://www.bravenewcode.com/support/)
