# WP visual editor not functioning

 * I have two WP sites, both using Genesis but different child templates. One site
   is fine, the other has developed gremlins.
 * I am unable to add or edit posts/pages using the visual editor. Cannot paste 
   post/page either.
 * The only way to view post/page is with the HTML editor.
 * WYSIWYG with all the “buttons” for bold, italic, format, etc is not visible.
 * Site is function from visitor side but post/page edits on admin is not working.
 * Suggestions?

 * First check your user setting to make sure the visual editor is not turned off.
 * Then try
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If 
   this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic
   plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently
   inactive plugin can still cause problems.

 * Thanks. Took some time, but it was a YouTube plugin that was recently updated
   that caused the problem.
 * YouTube embedplu v 2.1 is the culprit.
