 * Another comment-related question…
 * I do have a database backup, BUT … I did delete the wp_commentmeta table believing
   it to be a spam-filled Akistmet file. Everything there seemed to have been logged
   by Akismet — and just spam comments (that I saw). The table was huge. That’s
   why I deleted it since we no longer use Akismet.
 * My question: is wp_commentmeta a necessity? Or can we leave it “dropped”?
 * The site seems to be working just fine. I was able to post a test comment and
   all. Just unsure if the “subscribe to comments” plugin is working, as I can’t
   test it without accessing the edit-comments.php file (currently unavailable —
   due to a whole other issue — as per my previous WP Forum post).
 * Any assistance/suggestion would be much appreciated.
