# wp_enqueue_style was called incorrectly.

 * Hi guys,
 * I just updated wordpress to version 3.5.1. A second after that I got an error
   message and I can’t access my website anymore. I looked at other posts but they
   were not helpful. Can someone tell me what I should do to resolve this issue?
   Here is the error/notice I got
 * >  Notice: wp_enqueue_style was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should
   > not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts, admin_enqueue_scripts,
   > or init hooks. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information.
 * I’m a newbie so I would appreciate it if you give me instructions in a way that
   I can understand.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
