# wp_users – user_activation_key

 * I’m trying to clean _wp\_users_ from non-realistic users.
 * Is it safe to assume, users that don’t have anything in _user\_activation\_key_
   are most likely not real users and can be safely removed from database?

 * I can’t and wont give a definitive answer to this (also it’s a 9 month old question
   by now), but I can tell you this: I have lots of wordpress instances running 
   and not every user I have created has a value in there. I **think** it is only
   created if a user gets sent an email upon creation or when they request a password
   reset.
 * You might want to do some more digging but I can say for sure that not every 
   valid user has a value in there.
