wpml and custom forms
-
Hello,
I’m using WPML to translate content on a website.
I have a UM registration form with fields like Name, Last name, email, password, Profession, Country (dropdown with all countries) And two check boxes : subscribe to newsletter ands Read Privacy Policy
Strangely, the form translates correctly Name, Last Name, Confirm your email address fields. Without having done anything. WHY?
Other fields like : Password, Profession, Country, and the copy on checkboxes (subscribe to newsletter and read privacy policy are not being translated.
* I have checked ‘Make forms translatable’
If I click on the language flag on the topbar admin nav to switch language the form is empty. Do I really need to add again all the fields in the translated language and change the shortcode for the different languages.
In other words, the original form is not being translated but new ones need to be created for any other language?
In my case this works, BUT on the login form (in which again fields are being translated wihtout me doing anything, except by two fields) it won’t since the form is added via pop-up on the template. So I cannot change the id for all languages.
I hope this is clear. 🙂
Thank you.
