wpml Language URL format

    Hi,

    I am configuring my website with wpml 3.0.1 ,

    I have a problem with the language URL format:
    Choose how to determine which language visitors see contents in:

    I choose different languages in directories (e.g. http://www.website.com/en and http://www.website.com/de) but i take the following error

    It looks like languages per directories will not function. Details

    This can be a result of either:

    WordPress is installed in a directory (not root) and you’re using default links.
    URL rewriting is not enabled in your web server.
    The web server cannot write to the .htaccess file
    How to fix

    HTTP code: 403 (Forbidden)

    I am still learning the wordpress mentality. Because of that please guide me simply and step by step, what should i do??
