 * Dear [@lastsplash](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lastsplash/),
 * Despite my web site is entirely non commercial, I always get this message :
 * Your site is identified as commercial, reasons being ’Business Contact Details’,
   which means it isn’t eligible for a non-commercial license. You can read more
   about [how we define a site as commercial](https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-stats/free-or-paid/#how-is-a-commercial-site-defined).
 * Could you please correct this and grant a non commercial licence for the web
   site [https://www.objetsconnectes.be/](https://www.objetsconnectes.be/)
 * Thanks
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fwrong-commercial-classification%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@admfj03](https://wordpress.org/support/users/admfj03/) –
 * Looking at your site, it appears to use Amazon affiliate links based on what
   I saw in the HTML and the presence of the `amazon-auto-links` plugin. Due to
   this, it [does not qualify](https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-stats/free-or-paid/)
   for a non-commercial plan:
 * > We define a commercial site as one that you aim to make money from. This could
   > be through advertising or affiliate links, selling products or services, soliciting
   > donations or sponsorships, or any other means directly related to any business
   > or organization. If your site has any of these, you will need a paid Jetpack
   > Stats plan.
 * To use Jetpack Stats, you will need to add a commercial plan.

 * Dear [@lastsplash](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lastsplash/) ,
 * Thank you. I understand that Jetpack is trying to use some business rules to
   determine if a website is commercial or not. And I understand that one of these
   rules is the presence of affiliate links. However, this business rules is not
   perfect because it is a generalisation and it does not always work.
 * A commercial website implies a website where its owner gain money. I think we
   can agree on this. With my website, I am losing money as the cost of hosting
   is higher than the few income from the affiliate links. I can provide you the
   invoice of OVH and a printscreen of income from Amazon if you give me your email
   address. My website is totally non commercial and is for the pleasure to share
   in a domain that I like (IOT). The affiliate links are there to lower the costs
   of hosting but, even with them, it is a website that costs me money.
 * Considering these explanations, I would like to ask you to categorize my website
   as non commercial because it is really what it is.
 * Thank

 * Hi there,
 * We appreciate this additional insight. At this time, our definition of commercial
   site means a site that is attempting to earn income in anyway. It is not based
   on the amount of income, or if that income covers running costs.
 * This may change in the future, as we continue examining our pricing models, and
   receiving more feedback from our users.
 * For now, your options would be to disable to affiliate links, or upgrade to a
   paid Jetpack Stats plan to continue using them.
 * Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.
