# wrong language

 * Hi,
    general settings in wordpress: “Deutsch”. WP 5.4.2 After activating the 
   plugin it will appear in english. I’ve deactivated all other plugins, it does
   not help. Where can I change the language? Thanks Beate

 * Thanks for using our plugins.
 * If your website is translated by using a translation plugin (WPML, qTranslate,
   etc) you have to switch the language in your admin area before you start editing
   the content in GDPR plugin.
 * If your website is not translated, but the wrong language is visible, it could
   be because of the site language is set to “Deutsch” in CMS -> Settings -> General-
   > Site Language.

 * Hi,
    sorry, i wasn’t accurate enough. The site language was set to “Deutsch (
   Sie)”. Now I set it to “Deutsch” and it works fine. Thanks for the quick help
   Beate
