# wrong language

 * hi matthias,
 * another weird thing: wp strictly only german. even defined define (‘WPLANG’, ‘
   de_DE’); in wp-config.php. still the cookie banner pops up english. any idea 
   why and how to fix this?

 * Real Cookie Banner is available in German (informal), German (formal) and English.
   The language of the cookie banner is based on the language of your website, which
   you can set in your WordPress backend under Settings > General.
 * **If you change the language of your website afterwards**, only new texts will
   be affected, e.g. when creating a new service. Existing texts remain unchanged
   because a change can have legal consequences.
 * If you want to set up the complete cookie banner again in your new language, 
   go to your WordPress backend under Cookies > Settings > Reset all (bottom left)
   to reset Real Cookie Banner completely.
 * 💡 Tip: Do you want to use your WordPress backend in a different language than
   the language you want your website to be displayed in? Works! You can create 
   in WordPress under Users for each user the language of the WordPress backend 
   individually.

   Banner?
