# Wrong posts showing up

 * I have used shortcode: [catlist id=156] it shows correct on english version but
   on french version of the page when I use this code it shows 3 latest posts completely
   ignoring my category ID.
 * Polylang is the translation plugin.

 * When you translate a category in Polylang it just creates a new category with
   a different ID, so on the French version of your page you have to use the id 
   of the French version of the category.
 * As you have already found out it doesn’t work with the same shortcode.

 * You need to create French versions of the posts in category 156. You need to 
   create a French version of category 156 and assign it to the French posts. This
   new category’s ID will be the one you need to use in your shortcode.

 * But I don’t want to create french versions of post. Can’t I just have english
   versions shown anyway?

 * It seems the Polylang plugin doesn’t allow this. A page in a given language can
   only query posts in the same language. You can contact their support team to 
   figure out a solution.
