# Wrong RSS

 * Hi boys & gals.
    I have a problem since upgrading to 1.2 RSS was working fine
   in version 1, but, since the upgrade, in the main blog, the character encoding
   was faulty. I am in MExico, and write with accents (áéñ), so I changed the
   character encoding to ISO-8859-1, latin1. However, in the rss feed, there is 
   an error: System does not support the specified encoding. Error processing resource‘
   [http://eltintero.net/weblog/wp-rss2.php&#8217](http://eltintero.net/weblog/wp-rss2.php&#8217);.
   Line 1, Position 52 <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”ISO-8859-1, latin1″?> Can anyone
   help me, so that in the text blog I can have Spanish characters, and the RSS

 * O my God. So, first my blog must validate, and then I must check the RSS?
    By
   validating, are you meaning XHTML or RSS? How can I fix that? Thanks a lot.

    i am talking about the xhtml maybe you need to validated. i had the
   same problem but after i fix some issue with the spanish character, my RSS seen
   to work fine. maybe someone else who has full spanish blog can help you more 
   with details. thanks, solarpunk

 * I have this error when validating:
    Sorry! A fatal error occurred when attempting
   to transcode the character encoding of the document. Either we do not support
   this character encoding yet, or you have specified a non-existent character encoding(
   often a misspelling). The detected character encoding was “iso-8859-1,”. The 
   error was “”. In the wp-admin/ in the options menu, I have it without “”. Where
   can I edit that? ThX

 * ThX to Vidar, in the #wordpress IRC, I have corrected this problem.
    In ISO-8859-
   1, latin1, i had to take off the Comma and the “latin 1” Thanks
