 * Hi,
 * I am having an issue with WooCommerce orders whereby a customer has bought a
   ticket on a client website, then they are given a randomly generated number as
   standard but the order numbers are wrong as some people are getting the wrong/
   same ticket number(s).
 * Another customer purchased 3 tickets and created an account on the site but there
   is no record of them within the backend of WooCommerce but they received confirmation
   emails of their order so it’s a bit strange that this has happened considering
   the plugin being used will not allow you to purchase without an account.
 * Does anybody know why this would be happening and how I can retrieve/process
   this customer order?
 * Thanks,
    Martin

 * Hi there Martin,
 * When you say “people are getting the wrong/same ticket number(s),” are you referring
   to the WooCommerce Order Numbers? Or some type of ticket product that they are
   purchasing? If they are purchasing tickets generated by a ticket plugin, what
   plugin is being used for creating/managing those tickets?
 * To clarify, WooCommerce Order numbers use WordPress post IDs, which are shared
   between posts, pages, orders, and other things stored as custom post types. For
   this reason, order numbers will not always be in sequence (one might be `1000`,
   and next `1013` if there were other posts/pages/orders/etc created in between).
   This can be changed using a plugin such as [Sequential Order Numbers](https://woocommerce.com/products/sequential-order-numbers-pro/).
 * However, the order numbers should never be _the same_.
 * If you were referring to “Ticket numbers” from a third party plugin, please reach
   out to the support team for that specific plugin.
 * If you were referring to order numbers and still having issues, please share
   a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via **WooCommerce > Status**.
   Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that,
   you can paste it here in your reply. Please note that since this is a public
   forum, you may want to remove any sensitive information that you don’t want shared
   publicly.
 * Also, please send screenshots of the numbers that you are seeing that are wrong.
   I recommend [https://snipboard.io](https://snipboard.io) for easily sharing screenshots–
   please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply
   here.
 * Thank you!

 * Hi there,
 * Thanks for getting back to me.
 * Yes I am using the WooCommerce Lottery & Lottery Pick Number Modification plugins
   from WPGenie to extend the functionality of WooCommerce to cater for a competition
   style website.
 * There have been a number of instances where a user has purchased a ticket to
   enter into a competition and they have got an email which confirms their entry
   and the order number they have is the same as another customer order. [See screenshot
   attached]
 * The strange thing is that when I go into orders there is only one order and no
   record of the other order even under a different name or ticket number etc.
 * The plugin will not allow you to buy a ticket without creating an account so
   I am finding it rather strange that these customers can’t log in to the site
   to view orders and neither can I for that matter. It’s not even creating an account
   on the site so it makes me think there is an issue with WooCommerce.
 * I have sent screenshots showing the issue and hope you can shed some light on
   this issue.

 * Hi there Martin,
 * Thank you for providing those screenshots of what you are seeing.
 * That is definitely strange behavior with different orders both showing the same
   Order # in the emails. However, as you mentioned you were only able to find a
   single order with that number in the backend, which is expected — it should only
   be possible for a single order to have a particular order number. So the duplicate
   number issue appears to be specific to those “Competition Entry #***” emails.
 * Also, with the core WooCommerce plugin, all that should be necessary to require
   that customers have an account is disabling the “Guest Checkout” option under**
   WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy** shown here:
 * ⌊account setting⌉⌊account setting⌉
    Link to image: [https://d.pr/i/q1Cnps](https://d.pr/i/q1Cnps)
 * You mention “The plugin will not allow you to buy a ticket without creating an
   account” — if you mean the ticket plugin also has account-related settings, then
   it’s possible there is some sort of conflict going on there.
 * Please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via **WooCommerce
   > Status**. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve
   done that, you can paste it here in your reply. Please note that since this is
