# Xammp sql intallation problem

 * hi,
    im using xammp to install and run wordpress non my lochal machine on a trial
   basis… all the installations of xammp have been successful..
 *  i have created a databas xyz using phpMyadmin, the database s created successfully..
 * now here is the problem..
    when i run [http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php](http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php)
 * it get the database connectivity error
 *  i have configures the wp-congig file properly..
    define(‘DB_NAME’,’xyz’); //
   The name of the database define(‘DB_USER’,’root’); // Your MySQL username define(‘
   DB_PASSWORD’,’ ‘); // …and password define(‘DB_HOST’,’localhost’); // 99% chance
   you won’t need to change this value
 * there is no password for my database..
 * can anybody help me sort this out…

 * Unless you’ve given “root” a password through phpmyadmin, there won’t be anything
   there but what you’ve got – that is, an empty password.
 * Does it give you an error message set up like that?
