# XML Declaration Error

 * I’ve been using Seriously Simple Podcast for a while now and really love it.
 * However now my feed isn’t working and thus not updating on Spotify and other 
   platforms.
 * I get this error
 * “This page contains the following errors:
 * error on line 1 at column 62: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the
   document Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.”
 * When I google this error I get a lot of advice to check for empty lines in the
   functions.php and wp-config.php files, however I have no idea where to locate
   this in my Hostgator Cpanel file manager.
 * Any help is appreciated!

   It appears there’s a 
   conflict with your cache plugin. If you inspect the source code of your feed 
   page, you’ll notice it starts with `<script src="https://cache.cloudswiftcdn.
   com/"></script>`, which makes the XML page invalid.

 * Ok interesting, because all my cache plugins are currently deactivated. Should
   I delete them too?
 * Or should I delete that script? Where would the source code for my feed page 
   be?

   Sorry for the late reply.
   I’m not sure what can be adding that line. If you don’t use any caching plugins,
   it might be either your theme’s code, or your hosting’s feature. You can try 
   temporarily changing the theme, or ask your hosting support if they can help 
   you. Or you can hire a developer who can investigate this issue for you.Best

 * Thanks for your help! Turns out I had some malware on my site. It’s all cleaned
   up now and everything is working fine.
