# XML error – not solved

 * Hi,
 * I have the same XML error as this user:
    [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/xml-error-18/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/xml-error-18/)
 * But the suggested “solution” there to simply _not save the XML file_ is not a
   solution.
    We do need the XML export to save.
 * So how can we resolve this please?

    Did you try using
   the WordPress Export tool(Tools -> Export ), did this works? Also give me your
   server info in BackWPUp -> Settings -> Infomation -> “Get debug info” too, thanks!
