 * Hello,
 * Your page [https://yoast.com/help/xml-sitemaps-apache/](https://yoast.com/help/xml-sitemaps-apache/)
   leaves me with a question.
    Do i need to add Apache redirect rules? And will
   these rules work for LiteSpeed servers too? which are very similar to Apache.
 * I am able to access my sitemap by Both methods:
    – example.com/sitemap_index.
   xml – example.com/?sitemap=1
 * The article on your support page says “If you can load and see the sitemap using
   the non-pretty permalink, your server is not set up to redirect and, thus, you’ll
   need to add redirect rules.”
 * I think it meant to say “If you cannot load and see the sitemap with the pretty
   permalink, but you can load and see it with the non-pretty permalink, then you’ll
   need to add redirect rules.”
 * Thank you,
    JJ

 * Resolved because i disables the wordpress and yoast sitemaps.
    It seemed more
   feasible to generate a correct one than to fix the existing ones.

 * Hello JJulien,
 * Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemaps, and sorry it took a while to
   get back on this. Litespeed is also able to use htaccess files like Apache –
